Ultrasound and X-ray for Pets

Contact our team to schedule your pet's next diagnostic appointment.

Ultrasound and X-rays are non-invasive diagnostic tools that help veterinarians pinpoint what is wrong on the inside. These diagnostic tools are used to diagnose or monitor a condition in your pet. With digital X-rays and ultrasound facilities on site, we can quickly diagnose and inform owners of the results on the same day. To book your pet's appointment for our diagnostic services, contact us at 519-360-4508.

Does my pet need anesthesia for an ultrasound procedure?

In most cases, pets need a short-acting sedative so that ultrasound images are not affected by the pet's anxiety or discomfort, as they have to stay in one place for the entire procedure.

Does my pet need to fast before an X-ray or an ultrasound procedure?

For some ultrasound procedures, it is recommended that pets do not eat 12 hours before the procedure. It helps reduce the chance of vomiting due to sedatives used during the procedure.

How much does a cat X-ray cost?

The cost of any X-ray depends on the concern under investigation. Before the X-ray, our staff will provide you with a cost estimate for consideration.
