Krista Mall - Practice Manager
Krista came with her husband Dr. Kerry Mall in July 2010 as the Practice Manager of the Dresden Veterinary Clinic, then in 2012 they decided to branch out into Chatham and open the Merritt Animal Hospital.In April 2014, they decided to branch out once again and opened an office in Wallaceburg, Sydenham River Veterinary Office. Most recently they branched out for a fourth time and opened Erie Veterinary Hospital in Leamington in 2015. Managing four clinics keeps her very busy these days but she absolutely loves every minute of it.
Krista has been in the veterinary industry since 1998 and managing veterinary hospitals since 2010 and deeply enjoys her work as a manager. She has formed a very good relationship with the community as Dr.Mall and herself have been very supportive to the people and pets of C-K in many ways. While she spends most of her days in her office performing all the behind the scenes doing the day to day book work, she also stays active in the community supporting the local animal rescue groups such as P.A.W.R. and Friends of the New Animal Shelter.
Krista & Dr.Mall's pets always get the royal treatment, you will especially see their dog "Brook" as Krista's 'co-pilot' in the vehicle, as she takes him everywhere with her from one clinic to another.
Shelley Armstrong - Receptionist
Shelley has been the full-time receptionist at the Dresden Veterinary Clinic since 2008 but now you may also see Shelley at the Merritt Animal Hospital working on some Saturdays as well.
Since she joined, she has gained a tremendous amount of experience in running the reception area.
Shelley does her job exceptionally well and all the clients will say the same. She takes such great pride in her work, and does everything in great detail. Shelley keeps everything so organized, that it makes everyone else's jobs that much easier.Shelley is very well known for compassion for the clients and will give a much needed hug during the sad times.
We are very fortunate to have Shelley as a part of the team as she is a great asset to our practice. Shelley has a passion for cats,that is why she is the mom of three sweet little cats named "Maize", "Button" and "Minneau".
Erin Handsor - Veterinary Technician
Erin joined the Dresden Vet Clinic in 2011 as a veterinary technicians. She was born and raised in Dresden and knows most of the people that come into the clinic and always greets everyone with a warm and welcoming smile.
She has working in the veterinary field for over 15 years after graduating from Ridgetown College and has many years of experience working with animals and is exceptionally talented in educating clients, assisting in surgery and dealing with high stress, emergency situations. She always stays incredibly calm and works so efficiently at the task at hand as the team supervisor.
We have made her the official "cat handler" as she has a way with restraining that no one else can. Erin admits that she enjoys dealing with feral and fractious cats, and no one ever seems to object when she offers to restrain them.
Erin has a house full of cats, three of them being adorable Scottish Folds.
Morgan Farquharson - Registered Veterinary Technician
Morgan has been a member of the Merritt Animal Hospital, joining our team soon after she finished her CO-OP Placement with us in March 2013.
She graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at St.Clair College in April 2013. Morgan is always keeping herself busy at all times and is incredibly eager to learn more every day. We find that she is very out-going and is always on the move getting work done very fast and efficiently.
Morgan was born and raised in Chatham and was a Professional Dog Show Handler all over Canada and the United States for many years. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her ever so adorable Scottish Fold named Daken.
Ariane McFadden - Registered Veterinary Technician
Ariane joined Dresden Vet Clinic in 2014 as an RVT after living and working in Jasper, Alberta and Australia for the past number of years.
She came to Dresden to with her husband to be closer to family and has since grown roots in the lovely town.
Chelsea Eade - Registered Veterinary Technician
Chelsea graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at Ridgetown College in April 2014. She began with doing her CO-OP placement with us and has kept working with our team ever since.
Chelsea deeply enjoys her work as a VT and is a joy to be working with at the clinic, always with plenty of smiles to give and a very gentle touch with the animals.
Chelsea shares her home with a house full of dogs and cats, which are too many to name.
Leslie Pont - Veterinary Technician
Leslie has been in the veterinary industry for many years as a professor at Ridgetown College and has since moved into working in clinic with the D.M.S. group since September 2014.
She brings along plenty of knowledge and is an exceptional teacher to the clients, educating them on any questions or concerns they may have with their pet.
Leslie is a wonderful addition to our team and has a deep passion for cats or any 4-legged furry animal for that matter.
Christina Sutherland - Veterinary Assistant
Christina joined our team when the Sydenham River Veterinary Office opened its doors in April 2014.
She is originally from the Wallaceburg area and loves working with the animals and meeting all the people and seeing some familiar faces from the community.
You will find Christina either doing hands-on work, educating clients in the appointment room or performing reception duties. We are very happy to have Christina as a part of our team.
Jocelyn LeBoeuf - Veterinary Technician
Jocelyn joined our team as a full-time veterinary technician in the spring of 2015. Jocelyn was a graduate of Veterinary Technology program at St.Clair College in Windsor and has been utilizing her great technical skills for the past few years.
Jocelyn is also part of an amazing and unique Trick Riding team called Off Kilter Entertainment and is very proud in her accomplishments with that. Jocelyn shares her home with her full of life Great Dane named Nova, Paul the cat and her big beautiful horse named General Lee (but he doesn't live in her home).
Olivia Martin - Registered Veterinary Technician
Olivia joined our team as a new grad in 2015 of the Veterinary Technology program. She is very enthusiastic and is always busy doing anything and everything around the clinic. Olivia has also worked in a Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre so she has plenty of experience with a wide variety of wildlife as well as small animals.
Tiffany Bourdeau - VOA
Tiffany came to work at the Merritt Animal Hospital after finishing the VOA program at Ridgetown College in 2016. Tiffany also did her CO-OP placement with us so it was an easy transition. Tiffany is very good at keeping up with the very fast pace that Merritt reception area is. She is incredibly helpful with the clients and is very patient, tending to the needs of each and everyone that walks through the doors.
Rebecca Sterling - Veterinary Assistant/VOA
Rebecca began working at Merritt Animal Hospital 2016 as an Assistant the Veterinarians and Technicians. She is incredibly fast and efficient at her job and is well missed when she is not there. she always has jobs finished and is working on another before anyone has a chance to ask her. Rebecca is very familiar with the DMS family as she worked at Dresden Vet Clinic as a highschool student and did her Highschool CO-OP placement there as well as her VOA CO-OP placement for when she was completed the VOA program in 2015.
Emily Charbonneau - Veterinary Technician
Emily Charbonneau joined our ever growing team after recently graduating from the Veterinary Technology program at University of Guelph, Ridgetown College. Emily has been a huge asset to our team, as she stepped right in like she has been doing the job all her life. Emily's love for animals shows every days when you see how dedicated she is to her work.
Alicia Allen, VOA & Certified Veterinary Assistant
We would like to welcome Alicia Allen to the DMS Vet family. Alicia is a graduate of the VOA program at University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus and has been an incredible addition to our team. You will see her at Merritt Animal Hospital constantly floating from the front to the back, assisting in every way she can. You will also see Alicia at our sister clinic Erie Veterinary Hospital in Leamington. Welcome Alicia to the team!
Sarah Flint, VOA & Certified Veterinary Assistant
Sarah recently graduated from the VOA program at University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus and completed her certified Veterinary Assistant exam as well. Since we keep growing and growing, we had an incredible girl join our team at Merritt Animal Hospital. Sarah brings along so much enthusiasm, incredible amount of patience and willingness to learn. You will always see her with a big smile on her face. Sarah is a great asset to our team
Callie Abeele, VOA & Certified Veterinary Assistant
Callie joined our DMS family after completing the VOA program at Ridgetown College. Callie is excellent at both assisting in the back treatment area as well as handling the reception area with ease. She is a complete natural at this job and loves every minute of it. Welcome Callie to our team!
Tina Davis, VOA & Certified Veterinary Assistant
Tina Davis joined the DMS team after graduating from of the VOA program at University of Guelph, Ridgetown College. She brings along lots of enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Tina always has a big smile on her face when you see her at our Merritt clinic and she is always helping out in anyway she can.
Trish Forsyth - VOA
Trish has been apart of the DMS family for a number of years now, starting from highschool CO-OP then after finishing the VOA program at Ridgetown College she continued on with us right afterwards. Trish is very efficient and utilizes her skills very effectively. You will mostly see Trish at our Wallaceburg clinic, riding along in the mobile van but also she will be in Dresden and Chatham as well. Trish is incredibly good at handling every type of situation no matter which clinic she is at.
Kaley Ripley - VT
We want to welcome an amazing Vet Tech, Kaley Ripley to our team! Kaley brings along years of experience as a veterinary technician working at veterinary clinics and emergency hospitals. She is a great asset to the team and are very fortunate to have her.
